Tomi Silvennoinen

Biography

Tomi Silvennoinen is one of the most successful young professional boxers in Finland. He turned pro at a relatively young age, 18, and has never hesitated to take on a challenge in the ring. That has taken him to international fights all over the globe.

Tomi builds his success on the punching power he has in both hands. True knockout power: he can switch your lights off.

His maiden title came in France in April 2019 with a spectacular KO of Sirak Hakobyan. Tomi won the WBC Silver Youth belt in front of Hakobyan's home crowd.

The pandemic interrupted his career for a while, but Tomi feels the break was necessary and constructive for what came next.

In 2022 Tomi teamed up with Wonders Boxing Academy. After an intense training period, his much-anticipated return to the ring came in Kirkkonummi, Finland, on 26 August 2023: he hurt his Serbian opponent and finally stopped him in the fourth round. Later that year he added another TKO with a second-round stoppage. With the new team and his first boxing coach Karre Anttonen around him, Tomi says he feels reborn as a fighter.

With the comeback on a roll, Tomi has set firm goals for his pro career. The first target is the European title (EBU), then the world level. All the way up.
