The 25-year-old from Espoo, Finland, started boxing already at the age of 9. Widely recognized as one of the most talented junior boxer Finland has ever seen, Asseme´s roll of honour includes seven national titles, multiple international tournament wins and being one of the key athletes in the national team for years being he represented Finland in U17 and U19 European and World Championships.

Asseme´s amateur record is 105 fights, of which he lost only fifteen. He describes himself as a southpaw counter-puncher and campaigns professionally at super lightweight, training out of the Wonders Boxing Academy in Helsinki and he is being coached by Karre Anttonen.

The transition to professional boxing began already in 2019 when Asseme decided to end his amateur career and to start exploring the world of professional boxing. He went to travel the world to visit the Boxing Gyms and to spar in a classy display with many now recognised names in the industry in US, UK and mainland Europe. The serious talks about his own pro career started 2023 when he reunite his old national team coach Karre Anttonen.

It took one year though to get things rolling for Asseme. Now the time has come. Asseme will get his pro career started with big manners and a chance to show the boxing world what he is capable of. Stay tuned.
